Yup. Real store...real train car. Actually 2 train cars now! Portland Pop! Train store-wise is on two renovated 1950's Milwaukee East train cars that are connected on dead tracks and serve as a pop culture collectibles store 7 days a week. We like to call it..."The Greatest Pop Culture Collectibles Store on 16-Wheels!" PPT is located right across from OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science & Industry) in lower SE Portland and we are just down the street from Mt. Hood Brewing Co. at Tilikum Station (Max & Tr-Met Station Orange Line).
Getting here is easy whether you drive or take public transit. We are at 2100 SE Water Ave in lower SE Portland. PPT is directly across from OMSI and just one (1) block from the Max (orange)line and city bus terminals at Tilikum Station (the new green-lit bridge that goes over the Willamette River). On I-5 South Exit 300b (OMSI/Milwaukie) or 1-5 North Exit (OMSI/Water Ave). From Downtown PDX - Water Ave Exit off of either the Hawthorne or Morrison Bridge.
Unfortunately, no. We are a stationary store on dead tracks. PPT is adjacent however to the live Union Pacific tracks that run through lower SE Portland. Expect to hear or see trains when in the store!
Absolutely! We just ask that all adults that bring their kids or children that come with to please refrain from touching and playing with items in the store. This is a collectible store and it's simply a collectible thing.
We are really all over the map on collectibles, however we love Funko Pop's. A majority of our inventory are Funko products ranging from traditional 4", 6", 10", Pop! Rides, Pop! Moments, Pop! Vnyl, Pop! Pez, Pop! Mini's, Pop! Albums, Funko T's, Funko Sodas...and the list goes on. We also carry figurines, action figures, die-cast cars, games, M&M collectibles, apparel, and more from companies like Neca, Mattel, Jada, Lego, Kenner, Loungefly (also Funko), Disney, McFarlane, Dark Horse Comics, Tokidoki & more. Soon, all of our inventory will be up on the site. For now, simply come see us and witness all the cool stuff on the Portland Pop! Train for yourself.
Yes we do. We can do credit, cash or a combination of both. You must however take advantage on the sale amount agreed to on the day of, and depending on the amount of items you want to sell...you need to come in (20 items or less) or schedule (20+ items) in advance to meet with us during Monday-Friday business hours. We simply don't want to get tied up for too long and take away attention from our customers during busy weekend hours. Just like we describe above with trades we pay anywhere from the industry standard of .25 to .45 cents on the dollar, depending on several factors which include condition, currently availability, if we already have in stock, etc etc. Do not expect street value or PPG when selling to a retail store. PPG no longer provides accurate values. We suggest gauging your products off of EBay and then you'll get an idea of cents on the dollar from there. Again, we are releasing product with the possibility that your trade-in or items sold to us may sit on the shelf.
NOTE: Please do not be offended if we inquire origin of your collections. Without the ongoing theft of collectibles in Portland we simply inquire for your safety and protection. Also, please DO NOT expect us to purchase your collections if we have you bring things to our location. We cannot buy collectibles that we cannot sell. This can only be determined by seeing said collectibles in person. We appreciate your time, but again, cannot be expected to take a collection we do not need or see value in. Thank you.
Absolutely. Just keep in mind that we are a retail store and provide transparency. You must also take advantage on the trade amount agreed to on the day of trade-in. We do not do store credit "on the books". Depending on the trade-in, we pay anywhere from .25 to .45 cents on the dollar. Do not expect street value or PPG on trade-ins. The most accurate way to find out your products current street value worth is EBay. With trades are releasing product with the possibility that your trade-in may sit on the shelf. This is simply the cost of doing business and doing trade-ins on a retail level. If your trade-ins exceed a few dozen items, we ask that you schedule to meet with us Monday-Friday during afternoon hours.
Doesn't hurt to ask if we take in signed David Hasslehoff Baywatch shorts. In other words, if it's a collectible...we entertain a lot of different things. Pops! Hot Wheels, Star Wars stuff, Movie and Television set pieces, etc etc. The only thing we won't entertain adding to the store are comics and sports cards. We are no experts in those fields.
We accept cash and all major credit cards. Apple Pay is an option, too. We can even make the whole process contactless.
Um...yes? But, for reals. Service animals are allowed by law, but we prefer that all animals are carried if size allows. Due to the value of our collectibles we cannot risk these products by introducing dander, hair, puppy licks, etc. We do however allow imaginary or balloon pets without prejudice.
Did we really need to list this question on our FAQ? Apparently so. For the comfort of all customers we do not.
I think we might be going on our 3rd degree of separation with Bacon at the moment.
